In 1995 we decided to begin a new experience. we wanted that globetrotter people to know our wonderful village and our lovely region: Umbria. So we begun to rent Giovanna's House, in 1999 Marianna's House, and now the Cottage Le Casaline. The houses have the name of the wimen who lived there in the past. The houses are situated in the village of Messenano, 14 km from the historical centre of Spoleto, 120 km north of Rome and 200 km south of Florence, quiet position near a little lake surrounded by woodlands. Messenano was a castle in 13th century, now is and old and quite hamlet among green hills, where live about 50 farmers who still live old traditions. We want that the our guest is not only a tourist, but can live like a person of Messenano, in a true italian house or in cottage with garden. Guest must feel smell of hand-made pasta, see farmers who work in the fields, drink a coffee with me, Emanuela the owner of the cottages and houses. this is a great spot to discover italian countryside

Giovanna's House - 2+2 guests - 80 m²: Old country house which was completely renovated in 2000, respecting original characteristics, in the style of the country with terracotta floors and chestnut tree door and window frames. It is composed by a living/dining room with fireplace, colour TV and double sofa bed, a kitchen with dining area (oven, freezer) and a double bedroom. Bathroom with shower. Two terraces. Reserved parking under the house. Oil fired heating. Marianna's House - 3+2 guests - 55 m²: Built in the 13th century and recently renovated whilst respecting its original characteristics with iron grills on the windows, is a 3-room house on two levels. Ground floor: living/dining room with large fireplace and double sofa bed. Kitchen with oven separated from the living room by an arch. One single bedroom without window (access from the living room). First floor: One double bedroom. Bathroom with shower. Opposite the house there is an outdoor area with benches.

Cottage Le Casaline - 4 guests - 100 m²: from the covered furnished terrace, entrance is into a spacious, comfortable sitting/dining room with open fireplace. The kitchen has cooker, oven and fridge. Two double bedded rooms rests on the edge of the small Roman hamlet of Messenano and looks onto its quaintness. Bathroom with shower. Within its own enclosed garden it is five hundred metres above sea level with remarkable surrounding vistas. The garden (2000 m²) is laid to lawn and trees and apart from a covered, furnished terrace at the entrance of the house, there is a covered and furnished gazebo on the lawn. The cottage is well furnished and very comfortable. The beautiful swimming pool (10x4 mt) is immersed in a wonderful greenery and has an enchanting view over the surroundings.
