 The Lonciano Estate is sorrounded by a property above 32 thousand square meters of land coated with oaks, cypresses, olive-trees and various fruit-trees such as walnut, fig, cherries and plum-trees; it is situated in a sunny, quiet and relaxing place among the hills above Florence, one of the most beautiful cities in the whole world (just 10 kilometers from the city), and it's 496 meters above the sea level.
Guy de Maupassant used to say:
"I love to go back many times to the same monument or to the same painting; thus, above all the figurative arts, the most cerebral, the most fascinating is architecture.
This Art made of lines, which dooms over our souls with its design and seduces us with its sober grace made of details, it's almost unconceivable for the skilled middle class of today.
Thus, to conceive and depict a rare monument, one of those which can contain the history of a race, of a civilization and the spirit of its people, you need a great intelligence, a wonderful mirror that reflects the beautiful images, the highly intuitive ideas, the materials, all at the same time.
I could say it's better to live here, with these carved stones, than with the nice Parisian ladies, who do not last for such a long time.
