A really lovely B & B. very close to Vatican.Lots of restaurants nearby
Warm welcome by our hosts and lovely and clean.
Breakfast very basic, would have been nice to have a little more varity, rather than the same ceral and toast each morning- a yogurt would have been nice and more fruit.

this room was absolutely lovely. so very close to everything you need. Once we figured out the "metro" was a subway, getting from the airport to the B&B was very easy - it is close to excellent restaurants and shopping, within walking distance to the Vatican and the Pantheon. I will definitely stay here again. I hope to make a visit to Rome once per year. the innkeeper was very helpful and a delight to work with. the room was very clean

The B&B is located is a quiet street that is a stone's throw away from the Vatican and St Peter's Square. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, although ours was quite small and didn't lend itself to staying in too much - still why would you when in Rome! We noticed
the other rooms were a bit bigger. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty basic, cereal and toast. All in all a
nice, reasonably priced, place to stay and would definitely consider again if visiting Rome.

Thank you for your message. Just a short note to inform our future guests that we are going to close the smaller room (from the beginning of November 2008). For this reason no one else will experience this inconvenience. Thank you again.

Our 5 night stay at your facility was definitely one of our most pleasant experiences of our vacation. A clean, safe and elegant facility in a key location for a reasonable price! The staff was most helpful and informative. They took time to explain any questions we had and make reccomendations to make our sight seeing of their beautiful city easier. Thank you so very much for your hospitality!

Fantastic location, very clean and well presented room with modern and well equipped bathroom. Security was also very good. We found that the abundance of restaurants in the immediate vicinity meant that we could dine a a diffrent restaurant each night within easy walking distance of "Il Capitello". The owners could not have been more helpful. They arranged early morning taxis to airport on the day of our departure. Breakfast was comprehensive and was served in a designated breakfast room. All in all a great find and very reasonably priced. We loved it.

Clean, spacious room with satellite TV, but the best thing about Il Capitello is the location. Very handy for Vatican, St Peters Square and shopping, there are also many historic sites within walking distance - and the subway station is very handy, too.

Stayed here with my boyfriend for the last leg of our European Vacation. The owner, Laura and her staff (her son and a housekeeper) were such a great hosts. They were only there in the mornings to prepare the breakfast and the rest of the time the place felt like it was mine. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, and it really felt like home. You could even use the refrigerator in the kitchen. Walking distance to the Vatican/St. Peter's Square, a square where all the buses are so you can get to the middle of the city very quickly, and a subway station not too far away it really is in a good location. At night, many of the shops close but there are a few restaurants that are opened pretty late. I suggest you go to the pizzaria that's on the same street. You can't miss it. It's literally 50 steps away. My favorite memory was ordering a pizza togo and eating it at 1am while St. Peter's Square was lit up and empty.
Very Magical. You will 100% satisfied at IL CAPITELLO.

Our visit to Rome was brief on our way to Tuscany. We found the Inn clean, wonderful acommodations, quiet and close to everything that was important to our visit. We would recommend the Inn to our family and friends!
Our best wishes

My husband and I stayed two nights at Il Capitello, and it was absolutely lovely. The room was very clean and the Senora who owns the B&B was so sweet. Breakfast was great. It felt like our own private residence. We really loved the neighbourhood as well. Will definitely go back.

Accommodations were not as high a quality as some in the U.S., but it was clean and quiet. The owners were very helpful and the location was in perfect walking distance for the Vatican and St. Peter's Square, etc. Breakfast was a "make for yourself" affair but they did provide the essentials.

I found my stay in Il Capitello to be amazingly pleasant. Its on a tree lined avenue minutes from the The Vatican and around the corner from a metro. Great location and still a superb walk into the city. Rooms were exceptionally roomy and smartly laid out. Staff were pleasant and the breakfast was small although very tasty. I am very happy with my stay here and highly recommend it to anyone that is thinking of staying here. Great value for money.

Enjoyed 3 nights at Il Capitello in May 2008 to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Location was excellent, a 5 minute walk to the Vatican, 5 minutes to the underground. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, when the air conditioning broke down it was fixed straight away, only criticism we could find was no coffee or tea making facilities available in the room which would have been nice when we'd spent the day walking in the incredible heat

We enjoyed staying at this B&B. It was close to buses and metro, so convenient. Breakfast was adequate. The room was nice, good bed, bathroom a bit on the small side. Problem with aircon, but was given fan, which was fine. Would use it again and recommend.

My self and my partner stay in the II Capitello in September 2008 I would have to say it was one of the best guest houses we have stayed in. The location was great the room was big and 10 out of 10 for cleaness. The lady that looked after us was so helpful she told us where to go and how to get there her english was very good (sorry I did not get her name).I would not hesitate to recommend this guest house to anyone traveling to Rome and I will return

Very accommodating, comfortable and clean B&B. Ideally situated about 500 metres from vatican museum.
As such recommended to friends who are hoping to enjoy Rome pretty soon.
Would I use this establishment again, absolutely!

We stayed here for a weekend. It was our first trip to Rome and we had a great time. The room was very clean, and it had everything u needed for a comfortable weekend. The best things about Il Capitello are the location, very close to St Peter and the owners are very kind and helpfull.
Thank u again for a lovely stay!
