The stay was very pleasant,the suite is very good for a stay in Palermo, for himself and it is very near to the places of interest in town. The host is very welcoming, and the home made breakfast ,including discussions with our host , excellent. Again many thanks for a very pleasant stay. We had a wonderful visit at Ai Cartari. The location was fantastic for sightseeing in the old town on foot. The Bed & Breakfast is a beautifully restored building and the interior decorating is stunning and very comfortable. And our hostess went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. It could not have been better!

Ai Cartari is absolutely beautiful, Lori is a wonderful host and she, and her little dog, made us most welcome. The rooms are spacious and elegant. The B&B is well placed to explore Palermo and Monreale and close enough to the railway and bus station and airport bus to make traveling out of town easy. We have stayed in Palermo many times and never been able to get a reservation at Ai Cartari, this time we were lucky. We wished we were staying longer and plan to return.

I booked Ai Cartari for a weekend at the beginning of July for Stewarts 30th birthday and we had a wonderful time! The location of Ai Cartari was perfect, close to lots of wonderful sights. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean and filled with very beautiful furniture! We always like to stay in bed and breakfast accommodation rather than a big hotel as there is a lot more character in a B&B - and Ai Cartari was no exception. Really fabulous. Thank you!

We were very happy with our stay at Ai Catari. It is such a lovely house and the hosts are very welcoming. We stayed in the apartment downstairs which I can heartily recommend as you have your own door to come and go as you please. My only criticism, and it is a very small one, is that the pastries that Rosie serves each morning for breakfast were so delicious that I couldn't stop eating them. The B&B is in a fantastic location with some fabulous restaurants and wine bars literally downstairs.

We stayed at Al Catari for 2 nights in May of 2009. We found the accommodation to be clean, comfortable and well situated for easy access to the sights and alleyways of Palermo. The host was friendly and helpful, providing maps and excellent suggestions for restaurants. The tea and cookies upon arrival were a nice touch. We had breakfast in the Piazza across the street which was very pleasant. We have no hesitation in recommending Al Cartari and would be delighted to stay again if we are ever fortunate enough to return to Palermo and Sicily.

Me and my father planned to stay in Palermo for one night, but we felt so welcomed in Ai Cartari, that we decided to make it three nights! Not only the suit was spacious,comfortable and VERY nicely decorated, but the atmosphere was very warm and homelike!Not to mention great location, in a very centre of the old city. If I was ever to be back to Palermo, I would definetely come back to Ai Cartari!I highly reccomend this B&B!

We had a wonderful stay at Ai Cartari. Rosa and George could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Rosa was always on hand at breakfast to chat and answer our many questions about things to see and do and about life in Palermo. Our room was very spacious and included comfortable chairs to relax in after a day of exploring. Ai Cartari was in a very central position for all our site seeing needs - only 10 mins walk to the train station and 2 mins to many buses.

What does an "8" mean? This numerical score is a guess, because we base it on insufficient comparative data to be persuasively accurate. Our hosts were very cordial and welcoming, and spared no effort to make us comfortable. The house is well done, a labor of love for the owners, and provides an interesting glimpse into living in Palermo's core. We can recommend this B&B without hesitation.

We had a fabulous stay at Ai Cartari in the fall of Oct. 2008. Our room was beautifully decorated, very comfortable and convenient for touring Palermo. We highly recommend it for others.

We had a wonderful stay at Ai Cartari. What a quaint and friendly little B&B. Rosa and her husband could not have been more pleasant and helpful. She saved us by helping with our travel arrangements when they became a problem. One suggestion for improvement would be to figure out a better arrangement for breakfast. Going to the local coffee shop is a very hit and miss proposition.

We had a lovely stay at Ai Cartari. The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was ample and very good -- especially the homemade cake. Location is fabulous. One can walk from the train station. The owner was very helpful in leading us to good restaurants, rental car options, and parking suggestions. We would certainly stay again on our next visit to Palermo. Oor only regret is that we didn't plan to stay longer!

Very nice room, very well situated in the center of Palerma. We found that this B&B was the best we saw in Sicilia.

1.Position: Excellent, in old part of Palermo, access to good restaurants and interesting sights. Secure position. 2.Apartment spacious with old world charm, with independent access from outside courtyard. The proprietorship was warm, professional, attentive to our needs and conversant about our travel plans; the rooms were aesthetically beautiful, spacious and immaculate. Ai Cartari, Rosi and staff were fabulous! Even with the disappointing setback of loosing our luggage coming from Venice ~ we had a most enjoyable stay. Rosi went above and beyond the call helping us get our luggage back! Our hostess, staff and accommodations were most wonderful! Our only regret was not being able to stay longer. We loved our 5 days at Ai Cartari. The suite was luxuriously spacious and beautifully decorated, our hostess gracious and fun, breakfast delightful. The location, in the old section of the city, is quite convenient. We walked to restaurants, the waterfront, the nearby market. Many churches, museums, and parks are nearby, and the central station is about a 12-minute walk. We bought all-day passes for a tour bus, rode the whole circuit to get our bearings, then used it periodically to get to different sites. We can't say enough about the comfort, cleanliness and charm of the accommodations. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at Ai Cartari again.
