Gavorrano
The first records of the town of Gavorrano date back to the 9th century even though it is certain that, in the past, it had been an important centre for minerals. Nowadays, the mines are closed and have been annexed to the Gavorrano Naturalistic Mining Park, where you can find the "Teatro delle Rocce", a large open-air space where cultural events are held.The Church of San Giuliano, that still preserves a marble statue of the Madonna with the child dating back to 1300 and the Santissimo Sacramento Oratory, is worth visiting. In this corner of the Maremma area you can admire the unique scenery of medieval villages and castles such as the Rocca di Castel di Pietra fortress. |

| Il Cavallinone is a Beautiful restructured Tuscan Countryhouse, situated on a little hill in the middle of local vinyards with a wonderful view on the island of Elba. You will find the farmhouse between the mideaval towns of Gavorrano and Scarlino. The Agriturismo consist of two complexes, an older Countryhouse and a new Farmhouse. In the older part, completely restructured, all rooms are designed individually in warm tuscan colors. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and heating and do have a private bath. |
