Forte dei Marmi
Forte dei Marmi is the northern most municipality of Versilia. A renowned seaside retreat, its territory stretches from Marina de Pietrasanta to Cinquale, passing through the village of Montignoso. The municipality evolved around a 16th landing wharf, which was built to aid the transport of the marble extracted from the Apuane Alps. In 1788, Leopoldo I had a fort to erected in the centre of Piazza Garibaldi to protect the wharf and its precious cargo. Over the years, the fort has become a world famous tourist attraction, thanks to the ongoing development of it's various villas and gardens |

| Hotel Regina is an Historical hotel with an original Art Nouveau architecture, founded in 1902, has seen among its guests illustrious personages, including the writer Thomas Mann. Recently restructured, the hotel is situated at only 50 meters from the beach and close to the city centre, but in a quiet and green position. The hotel offers 30 double and single rooms, in different typologies to meet the requirements of all kinds of families. All rooms have private services with shower or bathtub, also available are rooms with special services for people with handicaps.
