Arezzo
Arezzo founded by the Etruscans (once Aretium) is a beautiful Medieval town in Tuscany, between Florence and Rome, among the hills at 296 m above sea level, it lies on an extensive plateau on the edge of the Val di Chiana, it's historic centre is rich in culture, artistic and architectural treasures from the Vasari Lodges to the Piero della Francesca frescoes, the Romanesque Pieve, Petrarch, Guido Monaco and Michelangelo. |

| Domus Aurorae is conveniently located in the heart of Italian history, art, culture and sights of natural beauty. The villa is only 4 km far from the city of Arezzo, in an excellent position in the quiet countryside but at the same time it’s very easy to reach towns, shops, supermarkets and wineries. The charming historic city of Cortona stays only 35 km away, less than half an hour drive from the villa. Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, Perugia and many other cosy medieval towns can be visited within a range of 1 hour drive.
The original building dates back the 1800’s, in the so called ''Liberty'' style. The villa has been first restored at the beginning of last century to become the family’s home, which explains the accommodating atmosphere and all family pieces, objects and furniture. Recently, the villa passed through a second renovation, to become a lovely vacation rental. |
