Castelnuovo Berardenga is located
between Chianti Classico and "crete
senesi". Castelnuovo village stands on a
pleasant hill, bordered by Ombrone and
Malena streams, at the crossroads of the
ancient roads coming from Siena, High
Arno Valley and Chiana Valley. The town
and its surroundings are full of charm,
character and history, and Castelnuovo
Berardenga should really be thought of
as the southern boundary of the Chianti
wine zone rather than an outlying suburb
of Siena.
