Amalfi is a small and picturesque
seaside resort, famous for its glorious
history as a maritime republic, has some
spectacular scenery, and great weather
conditions. The white, pink and yellow
cottages are surrounded by whitewashed
courtyards and winding alleys that makes
a walking tour a pleasant experience.
Amalfi also has several historical
monuments that are worth visiting, such
as the Cathedral, the old dockyards and
the old Paper Mills where the famous
paper of Amalfi was made in the past.
Many buildings are surrounded by
immaculately kept gardens and terraces,
lemon trees, and grape and olive vines.

| “A Villa Felice Relais” is located only a short distance from the enchanting Amalfi, in a place where the breathtaking view and the quiet of the Amalfi coast can be fully experienced. | The Residenza del Duca is located in Amalfi in an ancient palace which, already in 954, was part of a “hospitium domorum", that is a group of palaces owned by a single aristocratic family. Each room carries the name of some of the most important Dukes of the Marine Republic: Mastalo II, Mansone I, Ducissa Maria, Gisulfo II, Marino Sebaste. All the rooms have been tiled with majolica from Vietri, whose original drawings have been studied and reproduced by a local pottery painter.
